Day One, Again
One of the frustrating things about maintaining a blog, especially a weight loss blog, is that silence speaks volumes. Yes, indeed I intended to restart my Medifast journey two weeks ago and lasted about two days. So why not just give up? Well, first off, the program works. I did go from 283.5 to about 250 in two months. Second, as difficult as it seemed to stay on the diet, going off wasn't the great liberating expereience I thought it would be. Instead, I gained 18 pounds over the summer months. So I'm back, with a weight loss goal of 88 pounds and a plan to get there by Christmas.
The two key elements of the plan are the meal supplements and our weight loss pills. Now, I know the official medifast guidelines don't call for anything outside of their products, but I truly believe that a product like BioLean II has a place in a healthy lifestyle. I've noticed when I take the products (funny, they don't work unless you eat them!), my energy is up and my appetite is down. That's a great boost when undertaking a low calorie diet. I'm all for hedging my bets and if Biolean can stack the deck in my favor, I'm taking it.
In the end, I couldn't offer BioLean on our site, nor could I recommend Medifast, without being consistent and honest about my own results. This system works, but they work in the real world. So I'll chart my journey here and hopefully you'll see something that helps you reach your own weight loss goals.
